About
We think blood deserves a better question.
For fifty years the blood test has answered "how many?" We are building a platform that answers "how, and why?"
Why we exist
The richest signal in medicine is hiding in plain sight.
Conventional hematology keeps a fraction of what a drop of blood carries.
Every drop of blood carries an enormous amount of information about cell structure, movement and change. Conventional hematology keeps a fraction of it. We built a platform to read the rest.
What we believe
Three convictions.
They decide what we build, and just as often what we decline to build.
01 Optics over reagents
Chemistry loses information at every step.
Chemistry depends on consumables and loses information at every step. An optical platform improves through software rather than through new assays.
02 Software is the product
The hardware captures the signal once.
New capability deploys as an update, not as a new instrument.
03 Built for everyone it serves
A platform that works unevenly is not a platform.
We design and test with equity in mind, because a platform that works unevenly is not a platform.
The team
Built by people who have done this before.
Eight operators and five advisors across optics, medical devices, clinical pathology and company building.
